Local amenities include golf (Mallow, Fermoy and Doneraile within 12km), angling at the farm, horse riding, and walking in the Ballyhoura Mountain where the Ballyhoura Bears welcome our guests on their weekly walks and heritage sites. The Killavullen farmers market is a must for our guests! Stay with us and go Mountain Biking on the Ballyhoura Mountain Bike Trails only 20 minutes from our cottages. Ballyhass Water Park, Grenagh Open Farm, Fota Wildlife Park are all close by. Doneraile Park is just 10 minutes from the cottage, see the herds of deer, walk the many pathways, visit the Manor House and enjoy a cuppa in the tea rooms or at The Cafe Townhouse on the main street. Cork and Limerick cities are less than 45 minutes away, Killarney National Park and Dungarven Greenway are easily accessed. A visit to Cobh is a must with the added adventure of Spike Island, a day of history. Billy's Cottage is ideally situated to explore the South West. Bridgetown Priory is walking distance and it a wonderful example of old Irish Monastic life, take a picnic and sit amongst the ruins. Castletownroche village is award winning, enjoy the Mill Park, feed the ducks. The village has all services required by locals and guests.

Rock Cottage is a modern cottage with a traditional vibe. The garden is an amazing place for children to run and use the play area, the tennis court is always one of the favourite spots in the gardens. Our guests love the private nature of the patio area, despite having two cottages in the gardens, the little wooded area between the cottages adds colour and privacy. Nature is all around, wild animals and birds in abundance, our guests love to sit and watch the work with the crops in the fields surrounding the garden, from planting in spring to harvesting in late summer/autumn.
