The Cottage: This cottage is perfect for families.The cottage is located on Aughris Penninsula surrounded by the sea with sea views from most windows. A very scenic spot with beaches and nearby Omey Island to explore as well as other areas around Connemara in every direction. Take a walk or short drive to Aughrus Beg Lake to fish for brown trout or enjoy Aughrus Beg Beach or Anchor Beach for a swim. Claddaghduff Village is just down the road with Sweeny’s Pub, petrol station, and shop for your convenience.

The larger town of Clifden is just 15 mins away with large supermarkets, shops and plenty of restaurants and bars to enjoy. The village of Letterfrack with the Connemara National Park & Kylemore abbey, is just 30 min drive away. If you are into fresh fish, head to the fishing village of Cleggan ( 5 mins away) to enjoy it straight of the boat. Make a day of it and take the ferry out to Inishbofin island for a day – A hidden gem in Connemara!

Inside: The house has a setup that families will love. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The two bedrooms downstairs have double beds. There is also a family bathroom downstairs with a shower. On one side of the house is a large upstairs bedroom with twin beds, a perfect space for children. An area they can claim as their own to play games or just hang out. On the other side of the house are stairs that lead up to a open loft bedroom with a king size bed and an ensuite bathroom.

Downstairs has an open living space where all can come together and sit by the fire or hang out in the bright and airy kitchen and conservatory. You can sit in the conservatory and admire the landscape with your morning coffee or go outside on the deck when the weather is nice.
