This property is a in a great location to discover North Mayo or just to sit back and relax. Walk out the front door and you can take enjoy a lazy stroll along the quiet roads. Located just outside the little quiet village of Gweesalia, you can walk in to grab the morning paper, enjoy a meal at the wonderful Erris Coast Hotel or let the kids play in the playground. Enjoy a walk along one of the many local family friendly beaches, you may meet a local or two tops but the beaches are never crowded even in the high season. You have the beautiful Doohooma Bay Beach is just a 5 min drive away or take a packed lunch and take stroll there. You will find 2 great pubs within 10 mins of the house – the Tra Bui which serves great food and has live music each weekend of the summer & also the wonderful Sea Rod Inn.

There are many attractions to enjoy within an hours drive. Head to the great Tidal pool in Belmullet for a swim followed by a 99 or coffee! The much-loved market town of Westport is just an hour away with the wonderful Westport House. The remarkable neolithic site at Céide Fields containing the oldest known stone-walled fields in the world – dating back nearly 6,000 years, is just 40 minutes away. Pack a picnic and head to the Ballycroy National Park for the day just 20 minutes away. The park is also is also Irelands 1st International Dark Sky Park, but you don’t need to head to the park, you can cosy up with a hot chocolate and enjoy the skies from right out side the house!

This is a lovely bright, airy welcoming house. You enter into a large living/dining/ kitchen area with views out over the estuary. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could need to enjoy your stay, including a coffee maker, cooking basics and bake equipment for a rainy day activity. Off the kitchen area you’ll find a utility room with washing machine. In the living area there is a TV and an open fire, with a starter kit of turf to get you started for a cosy night in. There is also a sunroom which is a great space to sit and enjoy a book or or for the children to play in.
Off the living area you will find a double bedroom with an ensuite with a shoower in a small bath – great for smaller children. Downstairs you will also find a further toilet and a small library with books and games to enjoy, including a wii. Upstairs you will find 2 bedrooms – a double and a room with a double & 2 singles. Both have ensuite bathrooms and walk in wardrobes.
