Nestled between the two Donegal villages of Creeslough and Carrigart is the hidden gem of Donegal Boardwalk Resort. In all there are 27 premium villas spread amongst 3 small cul de sacs. Each horseshoe-shaped cluster contains a mix of 9 detached and semi-detached stone clad villas. The grounds are meticulously maintained and the tarmacked surfaces are just perfect for children to ride their bikes or kick a ball. A drive leads from the Resort’s entrance off the road between Carrigart and Creeslough, past the three clusters of Villas and the first children’s playground directly down to the public carpark in front of the Boardwalk Bar & Restaurant, the all weather five-a-side, tennis, basketball court, the second children’s playground and of course, the gateway to the Boardwalk itself. A 25 minute easy stroll will bring you directly to the sandy beach and the Boardwalk’s surfaces are smooth and ideal for pushing prams and buggies or riding bikes. From the Villas to the beach is approximately a 5km round trip and a very enjoyable walk.
