The very private and large bedroom and roll top bath are on the second floor. The Neighbourhood
Wilde Cottage is located on a quiet, country road. There are fields with cows, sheep and horses grazing nearby. This peaceful area is great place for walking and stargazing. Local attractions are only a short distance away, like Kilkenny Castle and some ancient sites ( Rath’s,Celtic Standing stones,Ancient Cooking sites (Fulacht Fia),the river Barrow 2nd longest in Ireland has a tow-path for walking/cycling,canoeing it is very peaceful and relaxing, also easy walking as it is level and has some grassed area which is comfortable underfoot. Cycling is also an option and there are bicycles available onsite that can be borrowed to get around or bring your own.
Getting Around
There is designated parking onsite. However, for those using public transportation, we are connected to 2 bus lines. One bus route goes to Dublin and Waterford,stops in Paulstown 3kms away. The other goes to Kilkenny and local areas.We are close to the mainline train from Dublin to Waterford at Muine Beag 8 kms. away. We also have some suggested self-guided cycling and driving tours for you to follow.
