The Lodge is a welcoming spacious home, suitable for a family or friends to get together. It contains a fully fitted kitchen and sitting room with a Wood/Multifuel burning stove, providing a perfect space for a special getaway. Come enjoy the beautiful countryside and local attractions.
In the spacious Lounge, a feeling of welcome beckons one to kick off their shoes and sink into the soft seats surrounding the stove set in a stone fireplace with warm nights to enjoy.
There is Satellite TV and DVD for your entertainment.
This room is well suited for family games, entertaining or sitting quietly under the gaze of 12 famous Irish writers while enjoying a good read with a cup of Irish tea or a glass of wine.
Back through the main fully equipped kitchen where you can dine comfortably.
There is also a bedroom downstairs which helps if stairs are difficult. There is a shower and toilet here also. The stairs leads up to the other bedrooms. The landing has a bathroom-shower/toilet at one end and a toilet and wash hand basin at the other.
After a good nights rural Irish peaceful sleep, you will be ready to explore the area, we have four suggested cycling tours and six suggested driving tours to help you find some of the many hidden treasures that a lot of visitors to Ireland do not see.

Killure Lodge is located on the Killure Farm a working farm which at many times of the year you can experience the lifestyle of Farming practices and makes the perfect retreat in the country. This self-contained cottage is a comfortable place to get away from it all. The sitting room, fully fitted out kitchen and Shower/toilet are on the ground floor. There are additional bedrooms and a full bath on the second floor.

Guest Access
Guests have the cottage, as well as designated parking. There are fields for walking around the cottage and a river close by for fishing.

The owners of Killure House live onsite. Help is available at any time. However, the owners respect guests’ need for privacy.
The Neighborhood
Killure Lodge at Killure House is located on a quiet, country road. There are fields with cows grazing and horses nearby. This peaceful, serene area is great place for walking and stargazing. Local attractions are only a short distance away, including Kilkenny Castle and some Ancient sites, Celtic Standing stones,Ancient Cooking sites( Fulacht Fia). Cycling is also an option and there are bicycles available onsite that can be borrowed to get around.
Getting Around
There is designated parking onsite. However, for those using public transportation, we are connected to 2 bus lines. One bus route goes to Dublin and Waterford. The other goes to Kilkenny and local areas.The mainline train from Dublin to Waterford stops in Muine Bheag 8 mms. away. In addition, we have several suggested self guided cycling and driving routes,check our website for them.
