Murrisk Murrisk is a unique village on the west coast of Ireland. Situated in the shadow of Croagh Patrick, Ireland's holy mountain, its history is inextricably linked to that of the mountain which has been a place of worship and pilgrimage for thousands of years. The village has a rich heritage with several significant archaeological sites, a 15th century Abbey and a national memorial commemorating the Irish Famine. This heritage combined with its location on the Atlantic coast has made the village a popular tourist destination. Murrisk benefits from the award-winning Tavern bar and restaurant and the iconic Museum pub Campbells ( A must after climbing Croagh Patrick). Westport Westport is a town on the edge of an Atlantic inlet, on Ireland’s west coast. In the Georgian town centre, stone bridges link the tree-lined promenade on the banks of the Carrowbeg River. Rockfleet Castle and Burrishoole Abbey, both to the northwest, have ties to the 16th-century pirate queen, Grace O’ Malley. The Great Western Greenway bike and pedestrian trail run from Westport to Achill Island, in the northwest. County Mayo Situated along Ireland’s Atlantic Coast between Connemara to the south and Sligo and Donegal to the North, midway along the Wild Atlantic Way. Mayo’s extensive coastline offers the best scenery comprising of cliffs, mountains, islands, rivers and is captured most colourfully by our Irish artist Paul Henry. Clew Bay features the essence of Mayo and Murrisk and Westport is right on its shore.
